Summary:

Responsible for leading definition and communicate of the company cyber security product vision, growth strategy and go to market plans for designated products in the US Federal Government market.  Develops marketing strategies to increase brand and company awareness in the Department of Defense, Civilian Agencies, Intelligence Agencies, and partners. Understands the key industry trends, market drivers, vertical regulations and compliance, and competitive landscape. Works with key stakeholders in sales, business development and product management to position new and existing products, and define and develop new areas of business opportunity.  Develops the positioning and messaging for products in the federal market and ensures that this is effectively represented in education and training materials, collateral and integrated marketing campaigns.  Serves as a main driver in developing customer and channel loyalty, retention and renewal programs, and leads the development of innovative marketing programs that drive demand in the field.

Qualification/Skills/Experience Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline

Experience:

7+ years of marketing experience; Defense or intelligence experience

Skills:

  • Knowledge of US federal government marketing for Information Assurance and Information Security products
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to synthesize data into actionable recommendations
  • Proven leadership talent and the ability to influence those at all levels of organization to drive results
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a self-directed manner and manage multiple ongoing projects
  • Ability to present findings in a clear, structured manner appropriate for intended audience
  • Flexible, ability to perform in unstructured or ambiguous situations, and adapt as business evolves
  • Very strong written communication skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Market analysis – evaluate industry structure and trends, including market landscape, vertical regulations and compliance, and competitive benchmarking, market entry or expansion strategies

Market definition – collaborate with VP of product marketing to drive the strategic vision and positioning of our product, directing product marketing and field marketing teams in the mobilization of  these messages in all materials and communications

Go to market strategy – work closely with VP of product marketing, sales management and field sales and marketing to define and manage global and regional go to market strategies for product, including customer persona development, product positioning, competitive positioning, win/loss analysis

Customer and channel loyalty and retention –help to drive the implementation of customer and channel acquisition and retention programs, including communications strategy and plans, advisory boards, user groups, etc. and educate field in execution model

Demand creation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing/lead generation programs and activities that promote and drive demand for our products in the field

Analyst and press relations – Develop annual analyst and press plans to support designated products, and serve as a key point of contact in day to day activities – Develop annual analyst and press plans to support designated products, and serve as a key point of contact in day to day activities
