BALTIMORE, MD – The American Marketing Association Baltimore Chapter (AMA Baltimore) announces its executive board for the 2024-2025 chapter year. The executive board is a group of volunteer leaders who are responsible for all oversight of the Baltimore chapter, including membership, sponsorship, programming, and other key areas for the organization. The 20-member board includes both new and returning members.

AMA Baltimore president, Keisha Clarke-English, has been elected for a second consecutive term in her role. Keisha brings more than 25 years of proven experience and strategic development skills to this key leadership role. Clarke-English is currently the director of project management in the Executive Operations at Exelon.

“Serving as the president of AMA Baltimore over the past year has been a truly eye-opening and transformative experience,” said Clarke-English. “The most rewarding aspect has been the chance to connect with and support our diverse community of marketing professionals. Hearing their stories, understanding their needs, and working to provide valuable resources and networking opportunities has been incredibly fulfilling. This position has not only continued to hone my own leadership skills, but has deepened my appreciation for the power of community, collaboration, and a shared commitment to professional growth and excellence. For the upcoming chapter year, it’s time to take things to the next level and really maximize our impact. I envision amplifying our efforts across the board – ramping up our programming, deepening our collegiate engagement, and bolstering our organizational reach.”

Serving a second term as president-elect is Marina Cooper, senior associate vice president for integrated marketing and brand at Johns Hopkins University. Cooper will continue to assist Clarke-English in chapter management and will assume the role of president in July 2025. Having our president and president-elect serve two consecutive terms provides our chapter and broader marketing community with stability and a solid foundation to flourish this year and into the future.

“We’re all excited to build on the tremendous energy and momentum of last year. Our approach has been to widen the aperture of marketing and our programming offerings but also to deepen the diversity to be more inclusive within our membership and the board,” said Cooper.

Past chapter president Dov Hoffman will continue to serve on the board in his 15th year as vice president of sponsorship. Vice president of mentorship + professional development Dr. Sylvia Long-Tolbert, vice president of diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, + belonging Tonya R. Taylor, vice president of marketing technology Moni Oloyede, vice president of finance Phillipe Lerner, MBA, assistant vice president of MX Awards Nicole Haslip, and general counsel Mark Edelson, Esquire, will remain in their roles for the coming year.

Previously serving as vice president of programming, Katie Ballance takes on her new role as vice president of membership. She will be assisted by Kelly Nowlan, assistant vice president of membership, who remains in her current role. Kristina “Nina” McKeaver, who previously served as vice president of marketing + communications, will serve in the coming year as vice president of communications. Amy Barley, who previously served as assistant vice president of marketing + communications, takes over as vice president of marketing. To enhance efficiency and effectiveness, the responsibilities of marketing and communications have been divided into two distinct committees for this chapter year, allowing committee leaders to focus more strategically on their respective areas.

AMA Baltimore also welcomes new board members Lisa Salvatore, vice president of programming; Sean Nidecker, assistant vice president of programming; Lauryn Paradis, vice president of collegiate relations; Nikki Ucheya, assistant vice president of collegiate relations; Chad Bauer, assistant vice president of sponsorship; and Erin Hamilton, secretary.

“I am excited and honored to work with this incredible roster of board members, who represent our marketing community. Together, we’re committed to creating valuable experiences, providing resources and tools, and uniting like-minded individuals,” said vice president of membership Katie Ballance. “As we continue to elevate and amplify the work we do every day as marketers, I know this group will bring a unique perspective and create an inclusive, innovative, and impactful year for our members and peers in the marketing, advertising, and creative community.

The members of the executive board officially assumed their roles on July 1, 2024 and will serve through June 30, 2025. The board meets monthly throughout the year, with additional committee and volunteer meetings held on a regular basis.
