The American Marketing Association is the most relevant force shaping marketing today. No other organization provides more ways for marketers and academics to connect with the people and resources they need to be successful.

AMA Baltimore provides extensive opportunities for marketers to expand their networks, grow professionally, and learn about current industry trends.

Our Chapter was formally founded in 1947 and is a dynamic group of over 300 marketing practitioners, educators, and students. Membership in the AMA is a must for marketers who are seeking to gain a competitive edge, stay current on industry trends, advance their careers, and continue to further their professional growth.

We provide the opportunity for networking and educational content with our monthly speaker series events (AMA in the AM, AMA in the Afternoon, and AMA in the PM) to hear presentations by leading industry experts and forward-thinking corporate marketers. Whether the topic is content marketing, branding, or how Under Armour is getting it done, attending these dynamic programs are a guaranteed way to learn something new, experience an “ah-ha” moment or answer some of your marketing questions. We have a long tradition of bringing the industry’s movers and shakers to you with events that have featured Coca-Cola, Pandora Internet Radio, Sylvan Learning, IBM, the Baltimore Ravens, Constellation, Chick-fil-A, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, and more.

Our #AMAMingle networking series is focused on bringing together marketing, advertising, and creative professionals from all levels and industries in order to make new connections and learn from each other. In order to showcase our commitment to the Baltimore marketing community and its many talented agencies, each #AMAMingle event is hosted by a local marketing agency.

We believe marketing has the power to make a difference. As innovators, strategizers, ambassadors and storytellers, we shape narratives that communicate value, create meaning, and establish societal norms.

As chapter leaders in the AMA, we recognize that there is inequity in our marketing community and organization and that we can do more to address these gaps. The catalyst of our actions stems from the unjust murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other lives lost due to police brutality. Our inaction and silence in the past have resulted in hurt, exclusion, and harm in ways that we cannot measure, but we are committed to rectifying this and ensuring that our efforts are sustainable and far-reaching.
