BALTIMORE, MD – Undergraduate students are invited to register for the American Marketing Association Baltimore Chapter (AMA Baltimore) Annual Student Job Search Workshop, on Saturday April 6, 1 p.m., at the Loyola University Graduate Center in Timonium. Now in its 27th year, the event is open to undergraduates of all majors. This workshop provides a unique opportunity to meet local marketing executives and learn about the varied career options within the marketing field.
The workshop features multiple panel and small-group discussions with industry professionals from more than 20 agencies and corporations. Students will have ample time for networking, making valuable connections with hiring managers at many local and regional organizations. A wide range of student career interests will be represented, including social media/PR, market research/analytics, advertising, sales, and marketing management. Students will have 3+ hours to network with executives from McCormick & Company, Weber Shandwick, Under Armour, Havas, The Baltimore Ravens, Stanley Black & Decker, T. Rowe Price, Wunderman, and more.
Workshop organizer Leslie Kendrick encourages all undergraduates with an interest in marketing to attend. “Year after year, students tell us this is the most valuable event they’ve ever attended. This is one of the few opportunities they will have to meet with marketing executives one-on-one and learn about their experiences. Our speakers enjoy interacting with the students and providing advice on networking, selling yourself, landing internships, and the job search process.”
Last year’s event attracted over 50 students from various colleges and universities in Maryland and neighboring states. Past attendees have found this program to be helpful in establishing connections with local marketing professionals, learning more about the hiring process, and have even landed interviews at local companies. AMA Baltimore encourages students that are looking to take the next step in their career to join their peers at this workshop on April 6th.
This workshop is for undergraduate students only. Advance registration is required. For more information on the Student Job Workshop and to register, please visit the event page.
