BALTIMORE, MD – The American Marketing Association Baltimore Chapter (AMA Baltimore) is pleased to announce the winners of its seven AMA Undergraduate Marketing Education Scholarship awards, presented annually to undergraduate students at area colleges and universities who are majoring in marketing or a related field. Established with the goal of supporting aspiring marketers in their education, the awards also provide a way for students to learn about the chapter and the career-building resources available at the local and national level. Scholarships will be formally awarded on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the 32nd Annual Marketing Excellence Awards at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor.
Applicants are evaluated on their academic performance and extracurricular involvement. Finalists also participate in a phone interview with the scholarship judging committee in which they are evaluated on responses to several questions pertaining to their work experience, future career plans and a marketing case study.
“This year’s applicant pool was quite impressive,” said Takisha Toler, AMA Baltimore’s vice president of collegiate relations. “All of the students were very accomplished and articulate and we are excited to recognize the winners.”
“The scholarship program was created to assist the next generation of marketers with their education as well as build relationships between AMA Baltimore and the future leaders in our field,” said Dov Hoffman, chapter president. “We are proud of our collegiate relations program, which also includes a student job workshop, educational programming and a speakers bureau.”
