Volunteer of the month
AMA Baltimore Names Becky Godboldte Volunteer of the Month for February 2016

The Baltimore Chapter of the American Marketing Association is an entirely volunteer-run organization. Each month, the Chapter selects a Volunteer of the Month in order to recognize the extraordinary effort of these hard-working and dedicated individuals. The Volunteers of the Month are nominated and voted on by the Chapter’s Executive Board.

Becky Godboldte of the Collegiate Relations Committee was selected as the Volunteer of the Month for February 2016. Godboldte is a full-time MBA student at Loyola University Maryland and she expects to complete her degree in August 2016.

As Director of Scholarships for AMA Baltimore, Godboldte is involved in many important projects, including facilitating the judging and selection of this year’s AMA scholarship recipients. She aspires to help increase student awareness of AMA scholarship opportunities and identify new opportunities for AMA Baltimore to expand its scholarship endowment fund. Godboldte is passionate about education and wants to share that passion with students.

“Through my role as the Director of Scholarships, I have the opportunity to be a part of a process that helps some of the brightest, most motivated business students ease the burden of tuition,” stated Becky. I am so proud of that, and it is so fulfilling to see those students rewarded for all of their hard work.”

According to Godboldte, the most enjoyable part of her volunteer role has been interacting with the scholarship recipients. She expressed how impressed she has been with what these students have accomplished in their academic and professional careers. In addition to volunteering, Godboldte also enjoys attending AMA Baltimore events.

“I’m relatively new to the Baltimore area, so being involved with AMA Baltimore has been a wonderful way for me to learn about the business landscape here,” stated Godboldte. “At every AMA Baltimore event I attend, I meet new people and learn more about the companies and businesses operating in and around the area.”
