Celebrating Our Volunteers

The American Marketing Association Baltimore Chapter is an entirely volunteer-run organization. Each quarter, the Chapter selects a Featured Volunteer in order to recognize the extraordinary effort of these hard-working and dedicated individuals. The Featured Volunteers are nominated and voted on by the Chapter’s Executive Board.

Spring 2025 Featured Volunteer: Mallory Heinrich

Mallory Heinrich of the Volunteer Engagement Committee has been selected as the Featured Volunteer for Spring 2025.

Getting Involved with AMA Baltimore

As a fully remote communications manager at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, Mallory found herself eager to expand her in-person professional network and connect with a local organization that reflected her values and aspirations. In January 2025, she joined AMA Baltimore as a marketing technology volunteer—bringing with her a passion for marketing, a drive to collaborate with like-minded professionals, and a deep desire to make a meaningful impact.

Making an Immediate Impact

Since then, Mallory has quickly become an indispensable AMA Baltimore volunteer. Her proactive mindset and sharp eye for operational efficiency have already left a lasting mark on the chapter’s internal processes.

“Mallory has been an invaluable volunteer for the AMA Baltimore Chapter,” said Moni Oloyede, VP Marketing Technology. “Not only does she dive in headfirst, but she also takes initiative and often identifies areas to contribute that I hadn’t even considered. Throughout her time as a volunteer, Mallory has played a key role in streamlining processes within our Salesforce instance, helping us make major strides forward. She has also been instrumental in developing new systems, such as gathering post-event survey information. Her contributions have been essential in driving our data management initiatives and enhancing the overall efficiency of our chapter.”

Leading by Example

Mallory’s commitment goes beyond data and technology. When the chapter began planning its Spring 2025 Board & Volunteer Engagement Event, she didn’t hesitate to roll up her sleeves and take the lead.

“I sent out a survey to gather activity ideas for our Spring 2025 Board & Volunteer Engagement Event and asked if anyone would be interested in helping with planning and logistics,” said Keisha Clarke-English, VP Volunteer Engagement + Immediate Past President. “I had met Mallory twice prior, and to my surprise, she stepped up in a big way. We met virtually, and she came prepared with location ideas and had done thorough research on the best venues for our group. We ultimately went with her recommendation—axe throwing at Stumpy’s Hatchet House in Columbia, Maryland. We built in ‘get to know you’ activities, and it turned out to be a fantastic way to connect with our volunteers.”

Embodying AMA Baltimore Values

Mallory exemplifies the core values of AMA Baltimore: leadership, collaboration, innovation, and community. Her energy, dependability, and forward-thinking approach have not only advanced our chapter’s goals but have also inspired her fellow volunteers along the way.

Looking Ahead: A New Leadership Role

Now, Mallory is taking the next step in her AMA Baltimore journey as she assumes the leadership role of AVP Volunteer Engagement. Motivated by her own meaningful experience within the chapter, she’s eager to help others feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to get involved.

Keisha Clarke-English added, “I’m thrilled to have Mallory join the AMA Baltimore Board. Her energy, organization, and genuine care for people make her a perfect fit for this role. I’m excited to see how she continues to grow and help others thrive within AMA Baltimore.”

Thank You, Mallory!

We’re proud to spotlight Mallory’s journey and are excited for the continued impact she’ll bring in her new role. Thank you, Mallory, for your dedication and for being an invaluable part of the AMA Baltimore community!
