AMA Baltimore Names Natascha Wlotzka Volunteer of the Month for May 2016

The Baltimore Chapter of the American Marketing Association is an entirely volunteer-run organization. Each month, the Chapter selects a Volunteer of the Month in order to recognize the extraordinary effort of these hard-working and dedicated individuals. The Volunteers of the Month are nominated and voted on by the Chapter’s Executive Board.

Natascha Wlotzka of the Marketing Communications Committee has been selected as the Volunteer of the Month for May 2016. Wlotzka is a member of the digital media marketing team at a2z, inc., a technology company providing event planners and organizers with cloud-based event management solutions. She provides digital marketing support to clients through email marketing, web content management and social media.

As Director of Email Marketing for AMA Baltimore, Wlotzka participates in email marketing strategy development and creates and deploys emails to promote AMA events. She also introduced chapter leadership to SR&B Advertising, which worked with the chapter on a complete website redesign. Carrie Green, vice president of marketing and communications, praised Wlotzka for being “active and engaged and always eager to contribute in meaningful ways. In addition to introducing us to SR&B Advertising, she stepped up and filled a critical role as Director of Email Marketing.”

“I want to help spread the word about this fun and rewarding community and to encourage other professionals in Baltimore to take part in our awesome events and become involved with AMA,” said Wlotzka. “The Marketing Communications Committee has such a diverse group of volunteers with expertise in many different marketing roles. I have learned a great deal in the email marketing realm, such as list segmentation, drip campaigns, and have had the opportunity to use a variety of email marketing platforms.”

For Wlotzka, volunteering with AMA Baltimore has become not only a learning experience, but also a way to meet fellow professionals who share her passion for marketing. “What I enjoy most about volunteering with AMA is being able to meet and work with some amazing people. For me, marketing is not just a 9-5 job, it’s something that I truly enjoy and am passionate about, I am thankful to have met so many like-minded people through volunteering with AMA.”
