Research has shown that employee engagement can drive phenomenal business outcomes, yet recent data shows that just four out of 10 employees feel engaged at work.
There are many reasons for lack of engagement, including poor communications. Increasingly, marketers are being enrolled within their companies and on behalf of their clients to bring a fresh perspective to traditional internal communications efforts.
Today’s marketers know that employee marketing means more than company newsletters and breakroom posters. It’s about engaging your employees in your brand to reap higher returns. Branding is more than a tagline and the best brands are built from the inside out. With a broad array of new communications tools, including social media and digital video, employee marketing has the same creative potential as external marketing.
Our past AMA in the AM was an in-depth session on employee marketing presented by Karen Albritton, president and CEO of Capstrat.
