BALTIMORE, MD – The American Marketing Association Baltimore Chapter (AMA Baltimore) is excited to announce that Russ Klein, CEO of the American Marketing Association, will speak to the Baltimore marketing community on Wednesday, November 29 at 6:00 PM. The event will be held at the offices of Spark Baltimore located at 8 Market Place. Klein’s talk on “The State and Future of Marketing” will focus on the evolving and ever-changing role of marketing.
In what is sure to be a powerful and thought-provoking talk, Klein, who led marketing and advertising teams at top consumer brands such as Dr.Pepper/7UP, 7 Eleven and Burger King, will challenge long-held perceptions and frameworks (such as the 4Ps) and offer his perspective on what it takes to be a marketer in today’s climate and in the future. How have technology and our network-driven culture impacted marketing and how will marketing roles shift to stay relevant?
AMA Baltimore president Dov Hoffman encourages all local marketers to consider these questions and join the chapter on November 29 to be part of the conversation. “Russ Klein has made a career of boldly questioning the status quo and breaking new ground in the marketing industry. We are looking forward to hearing his thoughts on the future of marketing and the role of marketers,” said Hoffman.
Klein, who first became a Fortune 500 CMO at the age of 29, has been named to “top marketer” lists spanning three decades, including his Burger King body of work that was recognized by ADWEEK as “The Advertiser of the Decade” for the 2000’s. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
This event is part of AMA Baltimore’s monthly AMA in the PM speaker series and is open to both members and non-members. For more information and to register, visit bit.ly/AMARussKlein.
