As VP of Membership for AMA Baltimore, Christian Bielski is responsible for leading the effort to generate new memberships, retain current memberships, and actively engage members throughout the membership cycle – joining to becoming tenured members. He collaborates with the rest of the board in determining potential sponsorships, programming, levels of engagement, and additional ways to grow the chapter.

Christian has been involved with AMA Baltimore since 2016 as a volunteer on the Marketing and Communications committee before joining the AMA Baltimore Board in 2017. He was Secretary for four board cycles from 2017- 2021, VP of Sponsorship for the 2021 board year (July 2021- June 2022), and President for the 2023 board year.

Currently, Christian works for Evans Consulting, an agency that helps develop healthy organizations and communities to thrive. He consults on internal communications, strategic communications, organizational development, human capital management, employee training, and business process improvements. His mission is to provide human-centered solutions or approaches to solve complex problems and build teams that thrive.

Christian has over a decade of sales and marketing experience. Before joining Evans Consulting, Christian served as the Sales and Marketing Manager for SNI: Shapiro Negotiations Institute. During his tenure there, he was responsible for all of the marketing (email messaging, social media, list acquisition, mail design) and sales (cold calls, account management, and selling programs).

Christian has a BA in Political Science and Public Policy from Albion College. His original career path was in politics, but a position as a media buyer at Precision Network and Communications Strategist at Evergreen Health led him to digital marketing. He volunteers with local Baltimore Democratic candidates/clubs, the feeding program at Breath of God Church, and is a board member of the Exchange Club of Highlandtown and Canton. The Exchange Club of Highlandtown and Canton raises funds for the Highlandtown and Canton community – an annual 10K scholarship for a local student in the Highlandtown and Canton zip codes, a Back-to-School drive, and a Holiday gift drive.

Christian’s favorite quote: “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”- MLK.  (“This quote reminds me that it is often easier to do the ‘right thing’ when you have the support of others, but more important when you don’t. Your true colors show when you face challenges and obstacles,” says Christian.)
