The American Marketing Association Baltimore Chapter is an entirely volunteer-run organization. Each quarter, the Chapter selects a Featured Volunteer in order to recognize the extraordinary effort of these hard-working and dedicated individuals. The Featured Volunteers are nominated and voted on by the Chapter’s Executive Board.

Erin Hamilton of the Marketing Committee has been selected as the Featured Volunteer for Fall 2024.

Erin is a Social Media Designer for 2fold Collective, a Baltimore-based creative firm specializing in design and brand consulting services. Before her current role, Erin began her journey with the company as an intern. Driven to deepen her marketing expertise, she joined Towson University’s Collegiate AMA Chapter in Summer 2023.

During Erin’s Fall 2022 semester, Kristina “Nina” McKeaver, AMA Baltimore’s VP of Communications, spoke to the collegiate chapter during a virtual marketing panel event. Inspired by the session, Erin took the initiative to connect with AMA Baltimore during her final semester of college.

“Erin reached out to me personally, and I was impressed by her enthusiasm for building a career in digital marketing,” said Nina. “Creating opportunities often begins with something as simple as saying ‘hello,’ and Erin’s initiative is a perfect example of that.”

A few months later, Erin’s connection with AMA Baltimore was rekindled, showcasing the lasting value of networking—especially when young professionals take the first step to engage. When the opportunity to serve as AMA Baltimore’s Social Media Coordinator arose in June 2023, Erin eagerly accepted. In this role, she managed AMA Baltimore’s social media channels, blending her passion for creativity with her commitment to community connection. Erin’s unwavering dedication and consistent contributions to AMA Baltimore’s social media content led to her promotion to Social Media Director in January 2024.

“What excites me about social media marketing is its unique ability to blend creativity and strategy. It’s rewarding to craft content that not only tells a story but also sparks engagement and builds meaningful relationships between brands and their audiences,” said Erin.

Erin’s ambition to make an even greater impact inspired her to join the AMA Baltimore Board as Secretary in August 2024. As Secretary, Erin serves as the glue of the Board, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the Chapter’s ten committees.

Erin was named the Featured Volunteer for Fall 2024 in recognition of her ongoing and growing commitment to AMA Baltimore. She went above and beyond her role as Secretary by dedicating significant time to the extensive social media promotion for the 39th Annual MX Awards. Her contributions played a key role in the success of this signature event, highlighting her exceptional work ethic and dedication to the organization.

Erin’s favorite part of volunteering with AMA is meeting and networking with professionals in the Baltimore area. As an up-and-coming marketer, she values the opportunity to promote her company’s services while learning from others through AMA Baltimore’s Programming Events.

Outside of her passion for marketing, Erin enjoys exploring new cuisines and restaurants, discovering new places, playing field hockey, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
