The American Marketing Association Baltimore Chapter is an entirely volunteer-run organization. Each quarter, the Chapter selects a Featured Volunteer in order to recognize the extraordinary effort of these hard-working and dedicated individuals. The Featured Volunteers are nominated and voted on by the Chapter’s Executive Board.
Heidi Traband of the Sponsorship Committee has been selected as the Featured Volunteer for Winter 2025.
Heidi is a Graphic/Website Designer & Website Developer for SR&B Advertising (SR&B), an omni-channel, full-service marketing agency based in Bel Air, MD. For over ten and a half years, Heidi has played an essential role at SR&B, demonstrating a level of commitment and loyalty that enhances the agency’s collective success.
With 20+ years of creative experience in graphic design, web design, and web development, Heidi has mastered UI/UX as well as Shopify and WordPress customizations. Heidi has delivered hundreds of WordPress and Shopify websites, tens of thousands of advertisements across all mediums, and has won numerous awards for her work.
“Heidi is dedicated to her role and responsibilities as much as any professional I’ve worked with, says Chad Bauer, AVP Sponsorship. “Heidi is typically one of the first people to say that she doesn’t have the answer to something, but then turn around to figure out the answer… ‘So, I’m not quite sure how that can be done but let me figure it out’— and she does!”
Heidi’s profound work has also made an impact on AMA Baltimore since 2016, when SR&B, an in-kind sponsor for AMA Baltimore, performed a website revamp for the organization (what would become the first of two). Heidi played a key role in the full redesign and development of the website, which also inspired a website and SEO blog post in 2017.

Heidi once again led the most recent website revamp for AMA Baltimore in 2023. Much of the existing content and website pages worked well, so they were simply migrated over to the new identity with a fresh visual look and feel.
Heidi’s efforts included a modern infrastructure to improve the mobile experience and new elements such as:
- Past Presidents page showcasing an esteemed list of outstanding leaders who have contributed to our chapter’s success over the years
- Testimonials from volunteers, members, and sponsors to humanize specific individuals and better showcase the value of AMA Baltimore
- Read time, dropdown lists, and archive links across blog posts and news articles to enhance the user experience
- Carousels and card tiles to improve the visual appearance and functionality of the site while also making the content more digestible for website users
Heidi’s experience and talent are pixelized proof on your current screen.
In addition to the two full website design & development projects, Heidi has made countless updates and optimizations to the core website, has designed and developed the MX Awards microsite, and has created social media graphics for AMA Baltimore. She continues to provide ongoing support, website updates, and enhancements–each time with unmatched enthusiasm.
“Heidi is my go-to for all things WordPress,” says Kristina “Nina” McKeaver, VP of Communications. “Her clear guidance has greatly improved my understanding of website functionality, and her thoughtful, creative solutions consistently help bring our board’s ideas to life in impactful ways.”
Heidi Traband’s unwavering dedication, technical expertise, and creative vision have made a lasting impact on AMA Baltimore—one that extends far beyond design and development. Her work reflects the very best of what it means to be a volunteer: generous with her time, driven by purpose, and always striving to uplift the organization and those around her. We are proud to recognize Heidi as our Winter 2025 Featured Volunteer and deeply grateful for her continued contributions to our chapter’s success.
