As I conclude my two-year term as President and the 2024–2025 chapter year comes to a close, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this an extraordinary year for AMA Baltimore. Your energy, engagement, and commitment have helped amplify the voice, value, and visibility of our region’s vibrant marketing community.
This year’s theme, Amplified, proved to be more than just a guiding concept—it became a reflection of our collective efforts and impact. It was a call to action that we collectively brought to life:
- We amplified voices from across industries, roles, and backgrounds
- We amplified connections that strengthened our professional and personal networks
- And we amplified talent and heart, reminding us why we love this ever-evolving field
I am incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished, and even more honored to have done so alongside such a dynamic and dedicated community.
A Mission-Driven Community, Built for Marketers
Marketing continues to evolve at an astonishing pace—and as marketers, we evolve alongside it. Whether you’re leading strategy at a global enterprise, launching a startup, or just beginning your professional journey, AMA Baltimore exists to be your community.
This chapter is designed to spark creativity, foster confidence, and connect individuals with others who challenge and champion them. This year, we embodied that mission—bringing together students, CMOs, entrepreneurs, creatives, and strategists to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and grow—together.
Milestones and Momentum
This year was marked by remarkable progress:
- We maintained a highly engaged leadership team, with Board roles filled by professionals deeply invested in our mission.
- Our membership grew to 250 active members, representing a broad spectrum of disciplines—from B2B and nonprofit to higher education and creative agencies.
- We strengthened our network through impactful programming events, professional development opportunities, and meaningful mentorship experiences.
We also celebrated several signature moments that captured the spirit of our chapter:
- The 2024 MX Awards, held at the Baltimore Peninsula Market Overlook, honored the most innovative and results-driven campaigns across Maryland, showcasing the future of our industry.
- Super Bowl LIX Advertising Focus Event debuted as an insightful and interactive experience, offering real-time strategic analysis and sparking bold dialogue between panelists and attendees.
- The She-Suite Leadership Panel highlighted the experiences of visionary women in marketing, exploring the intersection of leadership, purpose, and well-being.
Beyond programming, we nurtured internal culture through volunteer engagement, retreats, and team celebrations—from a summer O’s game at Camden Yards to our end-of-year gathering at Limoncello. These moments helped foster connection and collaboration among our Board and volunteers.
Looking Ahead—with Gratitude
To every member who participated in our events, every volunteer who gave their time and expertise, every sponsor who believed in our vision, and every Board member who led with dedication—thank you. You have helped shape a chapter that is both resilient and forward-thinking.
As we look to the future, our work continues. We are already planning new ways to connect, support, and inspire the Baltimore marketing community in the year ahead. Whether you are returning or just discovering AMA Baltimore, there is a place for you here.
I still recall the excitement and inspiration I felt at my first AMA Baltimore event. It is that same spirit we aim to deliver across every initiative we pursue—created for marketers, by marketers.
After serving two consecutive terms as Chapter President, I am honored to pass the torch to Marina Cooper—a leader whose vision, energy, and joyful spirit have already made a lasting impact on our Board and the broader AMA Baltimore community. I have every confidence that under her leadership, our chapter will continue to thrive and reach new heights.
Thank you again for an unforgettable year—and for allowing me the privilege of serving this extraordinary community.
