Marketing Leaders and Aspiring Professionals Invited to Apply for Six-Month Mentorship Experience

BALTIMORE, MD — The American Marketing Association (AMA) Baltimore Chapter announces the launch of its 2025 Mentor Connections Program, designed to pair established marketing leaders with professionals seeking to advance their careers. Applications are now being accepted through January 3, 2025, for this comprehensive six-month mentorship experience.

The program, which runs from January to June 2025, offers marketing professionals at all career stages the opportunity to receive one-on-one guidance from experienced industry leaders.

“Successful individuals seldom reach their career aspirations without a ‘special’ someone to guide them,” says Dr. Sylvia Long-Tolbert, VP of Mentorship + Professional Development. “Establishing a relationship with a trusted mentor provides a safe environment for self-discovery and emotional support, which is crucial when taking the risks necessary for professional growth.”

Program Highlights Include:

  • Monthly one-on-one mentoring sessions with experienced marketing leaders
  • Professional development events featuring networking opportunities
  • Access to AMA Baltimore’s extensive professional network
  • Structured guidance for career advancement and skill development

For Marketing Professionals Seeking Mentorship:

The program accepts up to 25 mentees who are currently employed in marketing roles. Participants will engage in monthly one-on-one sessions with industry leaders while gaining access to exclusive professional development events and networking opportunities. The investment is $150 for AMA members and $250 for non-members, with applications due by January 3, 2025.

For Marketing Leaders Interested in Mentoring:

Experienced marketing professionals have the opportunity to impact the next generation of industry leaders while expanding their professional network. Mentors must have a minimum of 10 years of marketing experience and hold a current leadership role. The program has previously attracted leaders from prominent organizations including Johns Hopkins Medicine, T. Rowe Price, Stanley Black and Decker, Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE), Towson University, Under Armour, the American Urological Association and more. Mentor applications are due by December 22, 2024.
