BALTIMORE, MD — The American Marketing Association (AMA) Baltimore Chapter is thrilled to share that Dov Hoffman, VP Sponsorship + Past President, has been named the 2025 Ric Sweeney Professional Chapter Volunteer of the Year by the American Marketing Association (AMA).
This prestigious award honors exceptional professional chapter leaders whose remarkable contributions have advanced the mission and impact of the AMA in meaningful and lasting ways.
An AMA Baltimore member since 2008, Hoffman has redefined chapter leadership through his 15+ years of service—most notably leading a transformational AMA Baltimore Board rebuild, spearheading two website overhauls, and a strategic approach to partnerships resulting in hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Chapter.
Known as the “heartbeat” of AMA Baltimore, Hoffman has served in nearly every Board role, including an uncommon two-year presidency. His mentorship, institutional knowledge, and strategic foresight have been pivotal in stabilizing and growing the Chapter—particularly post-COVID and during the seamless planning of record-breaking events like the 39th Annual MX Awards.
“Working closely with Dov on programming, I got to see firsthand his marketing brilliance,” said Katie Ballance, AMA Baltimore VP Membership, who previously served as both VP Programming and AVP Programming with Dov. “He is a tenacious, organized, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker who drives for results. And, his passion for marketing is contagious. Every time I talk to Dov, I feel inspired, motivated, and reinvigorated to not only meet the goal at hand, but surpass it.”
A champion of inclusion, Hoffman has built the most diverse Board in the Chapter’s history and actively recruits emerging professionals across the region. His leadership continues to resonate nationally, with upcoming features like an appearance on AMA’s Marketing / And podcast hosted by CEO Bennie F. Johnson.
Whether orchestrating high-impact events, mentoring emerging marketing leaders, or shaping AMA Baltimore’s future, Dov’s passion and strategic brilliance elevate the organization to unprecedented heights. Dov’s legacy of resilience, mentorship, and innovation has not only redefined what leadership looks like but also cemented his status as the most deserving candidate for recognition in the marketing community.
We also want to honor to recognize this year’s finalists, all of whom have undoubtedly made an impact on the AMA community. Please join us in saluting this incredible class of community builders and givers.
